Galaxy Digital Secures $1.4B to Transform Helios Campus into AI and HPC Hub
Galaxy Digital Inc. has finalized a $1.4 billion financing deal to repurpose its Helios campus in West Texas from cryptocurrency mining to an artificial intelligence (AI) and high-performance computing (HPC) infrastructure hub. The funding, secured at an 80% loan-to-cost ratio for 36 months, includes $350 million in equity and a debt facility covering the remainder. CoreWeave Inc. has committed to utilizing 800 megawatts of capacity, with the first phase of the project slated to begin in early 2026.
The Helios campus, acquired by Galaxy in 2022, will be transformed into a scalable AI and HPC service platform, addressing surging demand for AI infrastructure. The 15-year lease agreement with CoreWeave is projected to generate over $1 billion in revenue. The site, capable of scaling to 3.5 gigawatts, positions Helios as a future leader in AI infrastructure.
